The Sound
of Art

A sonic identity for Guggenheim Abu Dhabi

Creative Philosophy
“Sound is the vocabulary of nature — and of the institutions that seek to preserve and amplify what is most human.”
— Victor Magro, Co-Founder, Future Perfect Music
01 Who We Are

An independent studio for sonic worlds

Founded in 2008 as a bi-coastal studio across Santa Monica and New York, Future Perfect Music is an independent music and sound studio working across film, advertising, and immersive cultural experiences. We specialize in crafting sonic worlds that feel emotionally true — from the intimate textures of narrative cinema to the expansive identities of global institutions.

Our work lives at the intersection of composition, sound design, and strategic brand thinking. We do not produce generic music — we build sonic systems rooted in the specific character of each project, each institution, each place.

02 Creative Approach

Three pillars of a world-class sonic identity

Strategic Context

The world’s leading cultural institutions increasingly treat sound as part of the experience itself. The Louvre Abu Dhabi commissioned site-specific sound works and curated gallery playlists; the V&A wrapped “David Bowie Is” in spatial 3D audio that moved with each visitor; and MoMA mounted “Soundings,” its first major survey of sound art. These are not marketing tools — they are extensions of curatorial voice. As the anchor of Saadiyat Island’s cultural district, Guggenheim Abu Dhabi has the opportunity to define what a 21st-century Gulf cultural institution sounds like — setting a precedent for the region.

Just completed — the sound of a cultural icon, reimagined

Manifesting Marilyn: The Making of an Icon
Genesis House · Meatpacking District, New York — a centennial reframing of Marilyn Monroe · on view June 2 – August 2, 2026

Future Perfect composed the original music and designed the sound for Genesis House's flagship cultural exhibition — a six-room immersive journey that recasts Monroe as dreamer, strategist and self-author. We built one continuous sonic world that carries visitors from space to space: restrained and intimate through her office and library, then swelling toward the cinematic finale.

The experience culminates in a full-surround, diamond-and-star screen installation built to place the visitor “inside her psyche as contained in a bottle of Chanel No. 5” — scored around Monroe's own voice. It is precisely the discipline a world-class institution demands: sound that coexists with image and artifact, emotionally present yet never intrusive, and architecturally aware.
